چکیده
In this study, we proposed a new adjacent variable thickness hexagonal tube (AVTHT) and performed crushing analysis crashworthiness optimization under multiple loadings. First, the finite element models were constructed validated by experiments with four configurations of AVTHTs. Then, numerical simulations axial loading oblique loadings indicated that AVTHTs various angles (0°, 10°, 20°, 30°) three patterns (α, β, θ) exhibited different deformation modes, force-displacement characteristics, indices. This suggested could change determine plate configuration to make exhibit expected performance Therefore, multi-objective for minimizing maximum force (Fmaxw) maximizing specific energy absorption (SEAw) changing was conducted. The results determined design domains certain ranges should be avoided, such as 1.55≤t1≤1.6 1.85≤t1≤1.95, which helpful getting achieve excellent in railway vehicles. pareto results, increasing t1 would not always increase Fmaxw SEAw. For example, when 1.75≤t1≤1.8, lead decline

Crushing Analysis of Empty and Foam-Filled Cylindrical and Conical Corrugated Composite Tubes
In the present article, a numerical study is performed to investigate the crushing behavior of cylindrical and conical corrugated composite tubes. Different aluminum foams are applied to the proposed structures in order to offer an excellent energy absorption capacity. The crushing behavior of tubes are evaluated in terms of two parameters: SEA (specific energy absorption) and CFE (crush force ...

This paper contains a strain gradient theory to capture size effects in rotating nanodisks of variable thickness under thermal and mechanical loading. Material properties of nanodisks have been taken homogeneous material. The strain gradient theory and the Hamilton’s principle are employed to derive the governing equations. Due to complexity of the governing differential equation and boundary c...

This work presents thermoplastic analysis of FG rotating diskswith variable thickness and constant angular velocity. The solutions are obtained by variable material property (VMP) theory. In this theory, the domain is divided into some finite sub-domains in the radial direction, in which the properties are assumed to be constant and the form of the elastic response is used to solve elastic-plas...
